Questions about the status checker

How do I check if a Minecraft server is online?

Type the server address in the box above, for example play.example.net, and press Check status. You see right away whether it answers, how many players are online, its version, MOTD, icon and ping. Add the port after a colon if it is not the default, like play.example.net:25566.

Why does my server show as offline?

Usually the server is stopped or restarting, the port is closed in the firewall or in your host's panel, the domain does not point to the server yet, or enable-status is set to false in server.properties. For Bedrock, the UDP port (19132 by default) must be open.

Does it work for Bedrock servers?

Yes. If a server does not answer on Java, we try the Bedrock ping on port 19132 or the port you entered. Java servers that also accept Bedrock players, for example with Geyser, are shown as Java + Bedrock.

What does the ping mean?

It is the time it takes our server to connect to the Minecraft server. Your own ping depends on where you live, so it can be higher or lower in game.

How often is the status updated?

Every check is live. To keep things fast we keep each result for one minute, so checking the same address again within a minute shows the same result.
