1. The service
CraftRank is a free list of Minecraft servers. Players can browse servers, see live player counts and vote. Server owners can list their servers, show a banner and description, connect Votifier and, optionally, buy a sponsored placement. CraftRank is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. “Minecraft” is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
2. Accounts
You need an account to list a server or buy a sponsored placement; voting does not need one. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age for online services in your country) to create an account, and if you are under 18 you need permission from a parent or guardian to make a purchase.
Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at the contact details on our website if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Server listings
You may only list servers you own or are allowed to manage. The information you give, including the address, name, banner, description, game modes and links, must be accurate and must not:
- break the law, Minecraft's usage guidelines or the Minecraft EULA;
- contain hateful, sexual, violent or misleading content, malware or phishing;
- use someone else's name, brand or artwork without permission.
We check servers automatically every few minutes and show their status publicly. We may review, edit, hide or remove any listing, and refuse new ones, if we believe it breaks these terms. Imported listings can be claimed by their real owner by putting a code in the server's MOTD.
You keep the rights to the content you upload, and you allow us to show it on CraftRank, in our API and in promotional material for the list.
4. Voting and rankings
Rankings are based on the number of votes a server receives in the current month. Each player can vote for each server once every 24 hours. Votes reset on the first day of every month, and the top three servers of the month receive an award.
Do not manipulate votes: no bots, scripts, VPN or proxy farms, paid votes, or rewards that require players to vote from many accounts. Giving voters a normal in-game reward through Votifier is allowed. If we detect manipulation we may remove votes, reset the ranking of a server, remove its awards or remove the listing.
5. Sponsored placements
A sponsored placement shows your server in the “Sponsored” area at the top of the home page, labelled as sponsored, for the number of days you buy (for example 3, 7 or 30 days). The time starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. Only a limited number of servers can be sponsored at once, and sponsored servers are shown in random order.
A sponsored placement is advertising space. It does not change your position in the vote ranking and does not guarantee a number of visitors, players or votes. Your listing must stay online and follow these terms during the placement; if it is removed for breaking them, the placement ends without a refund. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
6. Payments
Prices are shown on the Promote page before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment partner (for example Lemon Squeezy or Tebex), which acts as the merchant of record and may add sales tax or VAT depending on your location. Their own terms also apply to the payment. We never see or store your full card details.
Purchases are one-time payments; there are no automatic renewals.
7. API and vote badge
You may use our public API and the vote badge on your own website, plugin or app, as long as you don't overload the service (please cache responses and don't poll a server more than once a minute) and you don't present the data as your own. Keep server API keys secret. We may limit or block access that harms the service.
8. Acceptable use
Don't attack or overload the site, scrape it in a way that harms performance, bypass our security (RexOS Shield), create fake accounts or use the service for anything illegal. We may block addresses and accounts that do.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. Player counts, uptime and other data come from automatic checks and may be wrong or delayed. We are not responsible for the servers listed on CraftRank, what happens on them, or what server owners offer or sell. Join servers at your own risk.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using CraftRank and ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting us at the contact details on our website. We may suspend or close accounts and listings that break these terms.
