Who runs it
CraftRank is run by a small independent team and has been online since October 12, 2026. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not connected to Mojang or Microsoft. We don't run any of the listed servers ourselves; servers are added by their owners.
We built it because most server lists rank whoever pays the most. Here the order comes from player votes, and everything else on a listing is measured by us.
Where the numbers come from
- Players, versions and uptime: we connect to every listed server about every 5 minutes, the same way the game does.
- Votes: one vote per player per server every 24 hours, with a bot check. Votes start again from zero each month.
- Premium, versions and Bedrock: tested by our own test client, not taken from the owner's description.
- Faked player counts are marked and left out of totals and best-of lists.
The full method is on How our rankings work. Live numbers are on the statistics page, and the same data is free to use through our open API.
How it is paid for
Listing a server and voting are free. The site is paid for by sponsored spots, which are always labelled “Sponsored” and never change the vote ranking.
